Inspection checklist
What to check before you buy
- Start by identifying the exact variant and battery pack so the expected range and charging speed are clear before the test drive.
- Check the charge port, Type 2 cable, portable charger, and any included accessories for wear, damage, or missing parts.
- Charge the car during the inspection if the seller allows — even a short AC or DC session reveals charger compatibility and port health.
- Drive with the air conditioning on and watch whether the range estimate, warning lights, or thermal behaviour look abnormal.
- Inspect the underbody and lower edges for impacts or scrapes near the battery area, especially on cars used on rough roads or bad speed breakers.
- Verify app connectivity, service history, and any battery- or charging-related work done at an authorised workshop.
- Check that home charging is still realistic for your own parking and power setup before treating the car as a bargain.
